Next Technique Class

Good Morning!
Today I have a fun card for you. I used a new stamp set we received at convention. This is the new hostess set in the New Holiday Mini. I can’t show you a picture of the stamp set but most of you should have the Mini by now. If you don’t have it and would like it, let me know so I can make sure you get one.

If you double click on the photo it will be enlarged. You will be able to see the wreath better. This is a fun technique that we will be learning at the next Technique class. We learn two techniques and make two cards for each. Plus you also make a sample of each to put on your 6 x 6 instruction sheet so you have it when you need it. If you are interested the class is September 26th at 6:00 pm. The cost is $15.00. Please RSVP by the 9th so I have time to get your kits together.

The colors on this card are Always Artichoke,Pumpkin Pie, More Mustard and Soft Suede.

Enjoying A Night of Stamping!

Good Morning!
Last night was such a wonderful quite evening. My husband was out helping a friend, then he went over to our sons to help him do some things. I was basically alone. So I went into my craft room and stamped! Oh what fun that was and oh what a mess I have to clean up today:(    I am not neat when I stamp.
I really loooooooove these colors! Wisteria Wonder and Calypso Coral. They are so yummy! I am afraid I will be using these a lot this next year.
This is an Easel Card made with the Two Tags Die. I used 3 new stamp sets I received at convention, Rainy Day, It’s Your Day and Best Friends Forever. These are the best sets! Stampin’ Up! really picked great sets to give us. I stamped on Very Vanilla cardstock using chocolate chip ink. I am totally in love with the new Ruffled Ribbon! This is the Wisteria Wonder. To get this ruffled affect lay a piece of sticky strip across the piece of cardstock where you want it, then take your ribbon and stick it down a little at a time close to the last place you put it. Turn your ribbon so it goes up and down. It really gives you a great look. You will use a lot of ribbon, but it is worth it. I also spritzed the cardstock after I stamped it.

Christmas Card Class

Good morning! Last night was the first of 4 Christmas Card Classes. Everyone made 4 cards of 3 designs. We water colored, learned a tie die technique and did some punching. The next class is September 12th. Register now so you don’t miss it!
One of the cards may look familiar to you. It is the first one in the photo. It is on page 43 of the Ideal Book and Catalog. I changed it up a bit. Instead of stamping on the base card, we spritzed it with Silver Foil Smooch Spritz. It looks amazing! I didn’t think I would like it very much when I started but it turned out to be my favorites!

My Digital Studio

Good Morning!

I hope all you stampers and scrapers had a great weekend. I know I sure did! It is always great when I get to spend my Saturday with my stamp club sisters up in Tucson. This month was a month off so we all brought projects of our own to work on. It was so much fun to see what everyone was working on. This group is truly inspiring and I so look forward to being with all of you every month!

I thought today I would share a couple more pages from my 6 x 6 album I am doing on My Digital Studio. I am doing a scrapbook that Stampin’ Up! has the pages and layouts already done for you so all you need to do is drop in your photos. It is so easy and perfect for these photos of my grandson. So when your in a hurry and just want to have your scrapbook done, these layouts work so well.

Birthday Special!

Hi Everyone,
Since today is my birthday I thought I would run a special today! Anyone who places an order today will receive 11% off the total order! (I choose 11% because my birthday is the 11th) This deal is for today only and you will not be able to make it an online order. You will have to call or e-mail me with your order. Party smile

I started a photo album in MDS for my son and daughter-in-law because they are away from their son so much. These are the first 2 pages I have done. I choose to do a book that already has the layouts done. I just add the photos and then the text. It really is easy and so much fun! I only have to send it in to be printed now. A Little Late

Hi Everyone,

Sorry I’m a day late on this post. Monday night while having my Technique class a friend of mine kept texting me. He wanted to stay over because the next day which would be today, he started school. All summer we talked about him staying over to play video games all night, but we just were not able to get our times together. So he stayed but I was so tired and I new my Grandson was coming in the morning, I just had to go to sleep. We watched a little of Rango but at 12:00 I was out. The next day which was Tuesday we had a nice day with Weston. That is why I am late. The boys kept me very busy. So today I have the cards to post. First this is Levi and Weston. I have known Levi since before he was Weston’s age and we are good friends.

101_4981101_4983

Ok here are the cards. We did the Faux Mother of Pearl technique.

101_4979101_4985

They really are pretty in person. The one with the Upsy Daisy set looks like glass almost. I personally think it is so pretty! The other set I used was one of many that I received for free at Convention this past year. I absolutely love this set and you will see a lot done with it from me.

Speaking of Convention…….would you like to go next year? All you have to do is sign up to be a demonstrator. I would love to have you on my team! Give me a call or shoot me an e-mail ( kabouchikas@msn.com ) with any questions you might have.

Make sure you check back tomorrow for a special I am running.

I hope you find sometime to stamp today

A Sneak Peek!

Hi Everyone,
Well it has been a few days since I posted. I have to tell you the wedding we went to Friday night was absolutely beautiful! Allison Kirkman was the bride and she was gorges. Everything was so simple but elegant. The reception! They decorated it beautifully. She wanted an outdoor theme and I know they worked very hard to achieve it but it was amazing! I just wish I would have remembered my camera! What a dope to forget that.
Yesterday we all went to my daughter Catlyn’s house to have dinner. We had a lot of fun. I want you all to meet my grandson for those of you who have not yet. He is the joy of our lives! He is almost six months and such a camera ham already! He loves playing peek-a-boo so in the last picture that is what they are doing. Catlyn made a great pot roast for us to enjoy, and we all visited and played with Weston for hours.

Ok, on to the sneak peek! Tonight is our Technique class. I am so excited for this class. If you are interested there is still room left for a few more. Give me a call though so I can cut your supplies.  The cost is $15.00, and we will start at 6pm. I know you really can’t tell in these pictures but these are the Faux Mother of Pearl Technique. I will post the full cards tomorrow. I know this is a technique you will fall in love with.

Going On A Cruise!

Hi Everyone,

Yes, that is right, we are going on a cruise. For all of you that know, we have been talking about flying into Seattle and then driving down the coast. Well my Mom came to me the other day and said how about a cruise instead. So we checked into it and today we booked it. We are going to Alaska! It is a seven day cruise and we will be going in September. I am real excited! This is going to be really good for my Mom.
Today a friend and I worked on wedding bouquets, boutonnieres and decorations for the pews. There are 6 bouquets, 13 boutonnieres and 12 pew decorations. We have a young lady in our church getting married tomorrow night. So we will finish those up in the morning and then go decorate the church.

I did get a little time to stamp last night. I am LOVING the Nursery Nest DSP! It has some of the prettiest colors in it. Also the Aviary stamp set coordinates with it. I love that this stamp set is versatile. It can be used to make a very elegant card or it can be whimsical as well. I really love how this card came out.

101_4968
I used:
Cardstock: Blushing Bride, Marina Mist, and Basic Grey
Markers: Marina Mist, Blushing Bride, and Basic Grey
Ribbon: 3/8’ taffeta going grey (so sorry I didn’t check this first. But this is retired)
It is bedtime for me. I have lots to do tomorrow.
Hope you get some time to stamp today

Charming

Hi Everyone,

Today I did a card up for you. Well I actually started these before Convention but I am getting them finished. I LOVE the Charming stamp set! This is truly one of my favorites!

I use it a lot. I also am in LOVE with this color combination. It is so warm and inviting!

101_4967

The cardstock colors are Cajun Craze, Marina Mist, and Whisper White.

I used markers for the flowers, Old Olive, Marina Mist, and Daffodil Delight.

The ink colors are Cajun Craze and River Rock

The punches I used were the 2 1/2’ circle, the 1 1/4’ circle, the 1 3/8’ inch circle and the small oval.

I also used a piece of Marina mist 1/4’ grosgrain ribbon.

The Designer Series paper is Paisley Petals which is another on of my favorites!

The next pictures are a class I took at Convention Hosted by Carrie Cudney from Sampin’ Up! The class was called “Every Last Detail” Carrie is fabulous at what she does. We were able to get the first 2 frames done while there. So last night I thought I would work on it and was able to finish another frame! That is the bottom photo. I can not wait till it is all finished but it is time consuming. There are so many details to do. But I LOVE IT! I can’t wait for you all to see it!

Well I have my wonderful Grandson today. He is such a character! I just love taking care of him.

Trying Something New With My Blog

I downloaded a new program to help with configuring and setting up my blog post the way I want them, not the way it makes them so I thought I would give it a test tonight. These are more of the wonderful displays they had at Convention. These were the most amazing and intricate displays I saw.

New Catalog Open House

Hi Everyone,

Yesterday was my New Catalog Open House. What a FANTASTIC day it was! Let me start off with thanking my Mom for making the sandwiches and helping in the morning with getting everything ready. Then I could not have gotten this together without my good friend Jessica. She is amazing.   First let me tell you about the amazing goodies she made. Jessica made oatmeal raisin cookies then put each one in an envelope cut from the Sizix envelope die. Then she added a thank you on them. These were all cut from the new in color paper pack! Then she also made wonderful melt in your mouth brownies! Second, I am going backwards now. I e-mailed her while at convention. I asked her if she would help me with this event. She said she would. We got together and she had some fantastic ideas! She was there every step of the way. Even when I freaked out a little because of the amount of people who RSVP. What a great mentor, friend, she is. I could not have pulled this off without you. Thank you.

I had lots of door prizes and I know everyone is waiting to know who won. So here is the list:
1 Lynda M, 2 Joni, 3 Jill C, 4 Lynda M, 5 Carolyn, 6 Lynda M, 7 Lynda M, 8 Katie T, 9 De, 10 Katie, 11 Katie, 12 Jill C, 13 Donna, 14 Denice, 15 Lynda M, 16 Joni, 17 Louise, 18 Lynda M.

I will tell you Stampin' Up has truly blessed me with wonderful friendships. I want to thank you all for coming out and making my Open House such a huge success.

I hope you all get some time to stamp today.

It's Fixed!

I tell you all my husband is a wonderful man. He came home and fixed my computer! Darn! I wanted a new one:) Looks like I'll be using this old one for awhile now. That's ok, it still is a good one. I guess from what he said is one of the keys was bad. It was the number lock key. So he removed it! I can't use the numbers off to the side anymore but it works and that is all that matters.

I have a card for you today. I am LOVING the new In Colors! I can't even tell you which one is my favorite because I love them all!
This card uses the new stamp set we got at Convention! Raining Flowers. LOVE IT! The colors are Calypso Coral, Baja Breeze, and Daffodil Delight. What a great combination. I also used a new in color brad.
Well my Grandson will be here any minute so hope you all have a great day I know I will!
Hope you get some time to stamp today

Paper Flowers

Hi everyone,

While at Convention almost all of the displays had wonderful paper flowers! (remember the theme was grow.) So when I got home I decided to try and make my own. So this is what I came up with. They were so easy and fun to make! Stampin' Up! is coming out with a new tool that will help to make these easier! It will be revealed September 1st. So make sure you check back to see what it is. Also if you would like to be on my mailing list so I can send you a mini (which our Holiday mini will be out the end of August and it is FABULOUS!) e-mail me at kabouchikas@msn.com and I will make sure you get one. I made these flowers using the Just Add Cake DSP. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the paper!

Hope you get some time to stamp today.

Convention Swaps / and a Wedding

Hi everyone,

One of the best things we get to do at convention is swap cards with other demonstrators. I love this so we can have plenty of ideas with stamp sets we may not own. (which always make me want to buy more sets) This year I also did an organized swap. It was so much fun! Plus what is really neat is swapping with some of ladies whose blogs I follow!  The swaps I received were absolutely amazing! All you demos out there really out did yourself this year!  So as my daughter and I were going through them she fell in love with this card. This card was made by Pam McLean of Spruce Grove, AB. It truly is very elegant. So she decided to use this as her reception invite. Yes my youngest is getting married! But she wants a small family ceremony, so we won't be making wedding invitations.

So this is what she came up with for her card. She used Very Vanilla, Island Indigo, and More Mustard Card stock, The ink color is Cherry Cobbler and she used the Elegant Lines Embossing folder. Also as soon as it comes in we will be using the Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding for the center ribbon, right now we have a piece of card stock there. This was just a proto-type so she could make sure it was what she wanted. I think it turned out really nice.
Well today I am off to shop. I don't have my grandson today so we have to get the shopping done because I will have him the rest of the week. He is truly a wonderful little boy. He is 5 months now and we have so much fun together! I am so blessed and honored that I get to babysit him.

Hope you all get some time to stamp
